Our mission is to empower and support new and expecting families during their prenatal, postpartum, and parenting journeys. We believe in order for new families to thrive it is crucial for them to have strong support and to feel connected to a community. We are here to help you flourish during this phase of life.
At WOOM we offer education, services, and support. We create opportunities for building community and connection. We have offerings both in-person and live online. We can’t wait to meet you and support you as you and your family grow!

MEET THE FOUNDER
Christine Mckenney
Christine McKenney is a NH native and mama of 3. She lives in Portsmouth, NH with her husband and children. Christine has a passion for supporting and empowering new and expecting families. She has over a decade of experience working in various roles within perinatal care. Her experience includes caring for families postpartum during their hospital stay, caring for babies/families in the NICU, working in an OBGYN office that specializes in natural restorative fertility, inpatient/outpatient lactation, and teaching various childbirth and family education classes. Christine left her 12 year hospital career in 2022 to build WOOM. Through her own personal and professional experience she has a deep understanding that as new parents we NEED high quality support, care, but most importantly, we need a loving community.
Credentials— Registered Nurse, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Childbirth Educator, Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), Prenatal/Toddler/Caregiver & Infant Yoga Instructor
Experience—NICU, OBGYN office, postpartum, inpatient/outpatient lactation, perinatal education coordinator
Interested in joining our team or collaborating?
We plan to set our roots down in Portsmouth and are looking to grow our team and collaborate with other local practitioners who serve families pre-conception through parenting. We plan to move into a space that has a large studio for classes/groups as well as multiple office/treatment rooms for practitioners to rent or share.
Types of practitioners we hope to collaborate with: holistic fertility care providers, mental health providers, nutritionists, yoga instructors, IBCLCS, postpartum nurses, childbirth educators, yoga instructors who specialize in prenatal, infant, and toddler yoga, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, midwives, doulas, reiki practitioners, PT, OT, and more.
